Let’s take a trip down memory lane, shall we?

Back in 2023, EQ Music produced pop singer-songwriter JORDY‘s first-ever UK Tour with special guests Myylo and Ocean Tisdall. The tour played in the key cities of Birmingham, London and Manchester during May 2023. If you were lucky enough to be there, you’ll remember the incredible performances that left the crowd spellbound. Although it’s hard to believe that it is almost a year since that tour, the memories are still fresh in our minds. Let’s relive what happened, by watching some live footage we gathered along the way from this truly memorable pop event that swept through the UK last year.

The tour kicked off in Birmingham at The Hare & Hounds, where JORDY, Myylo and Ocean were cheered on by a truly appreciative crowd, (who themselves were word-perfect when singing along to the latest tracks of the three artists). Power pop tracks “Trevor” by JORDY, Myylo’s cover of “All Star” by Smash Mouth and original track “Being Born Kinda Sucks” proving especially to be popular choices.

The next stop on the tour was London at Amazing Grace. From the offset, the spellbinding pop mastery demonstrated by Ocean Tisdall with his stunning vocals and emotive lyrical pop captivated the at-capacity crowd at Amazing Grace. In turn, this set the tone for an incredible evening of LGBTQ+ pop. The vibe was then carried through by both Myylo and JORDY as the pop sensations enthusiastically delivered their fan favorite tracks.

Night & Day in Manchester was the perfect setting for JORDY’s three-date UK tour finale. With its intimate atmosphere, all three performances were truly captivating and left the audience spellbound. The energy in the room was electric as Ocean, Myylo and JORDY took to the stage. However, the most defining moment of the performances was when the crowd sang back the lyrics. This created an unforgettable connection between the performers and the audience and goes to show you that Manchester fans are truly as dedicated as they claim.

UK pop fans truly made their presence felt for an artist like JORDY on his first visit to the UK.

Eeek! We can confirm that none other than US pop sensation JORDY has landed on our British shores for a string of three shows next week in the UK in Birmingham, London and Manchester. It’s the very first time that JORDY has performed in the UK and EQ Music is super excited to being chosen to produce these inaugural shows for him.

Of course it wouldn’t be an EQ Music Live show unless we curated some extra special talent to support the pop superstar – so it shouldn’t surprise you that we looped in LA pop wunderkid Myylo and rising Irish pop muse Ocean Tisdall to be on the lineup as well. Some of you may remember Ocean Tisdall from when he blew up all our collective minds at our last EQ Music Live showcase event in February.

This show is gonna be special…

So how did this special JORDY UK Tour come about you ask?

Well, having worked closely with Myylo over the last few years on international events, we were quite familiar with JORDY already and have been a massive fan since his track Long Distance came out, we knew we definitely wanted to work with JORDY if given the chance. So, rewind to last summer when I was at a Myylo show in LA, I clocked JORDY in the audience and went straight up to him to introduce myself. We had a little laugh about our online relationship over the years between blogger and artist, having felt like we knew each other already, but having never met! So naturally I asked him why he’s never toured the UK and he responded that “it was on the list”. Well, me being the impatient gig maker that I am talked to his people and pitched this tour idea and “voila!” nine months later – here we are!

So to celebrate the imminent JORDY UK shows kicking off next week, we will be celebrating JORDY WEEK with discounted tickets for Birmingham and Manchester which you can only get here on EQ Music Blog until Monday, 22nd May – so hurry, tickets are going fast and most likely will sell out.

But what about London you ask? Well, we only have a few tickets left for London available so you’ll have to be quick to scoop them up here or on DICE. And we have a handful of discounted London VIP tickets too, so if you wanted to meet JORDY in-person and grab a photo with him, now’s your chance!

Well if it isn’t one of our latest fancy of EQ Discovery, man boy band to swoon over and get hot licked into the bargain by their slick urban peddled harmonising pop sounds, FTW.

Let’s zoom in on the hot talented foursome, as we catch sight of them peering out from the stage, seeking to their heal their lonely hearts by feeling the blow of cupids arrow, as it dodges through the high intensity laser light show.  All this happens in the meeting place of all places, of course where else…le-club.

We don’t expect these fine fettled lads would be nursing their lonely hearts for long at rate, we sure imagine they’d be For The Winning themselves an army of suitors, not favouriting anyone in particular, but shout out to Callum whose necklines in places are looking are tad, almost, moob revealing – Ooooooo!

What a trip!  The EQ Music Tour featuring Adam Tyler saw the rising pop sensation take to the stage in some of America's hottest night clubs and we have some great new footage from a few of the recent shows in Atlanta, Houston, San Francisco, San Diego and Las Vegas!

Last week the EQ Music Tour featuring Adam Tyler rolled through hurricane Irene to make stops at Cruze Bar in Pittsburgh as well as Charlotte Pride in North Carolina in promotion of Adam’s debut album “Shattered Ice” which is currently on iTunes.

Crowds have been eating up the new electronic pop sound of Adam Tyler and we caught some performance footage for you to enjoy below from these two stops on the tour. 

Next stops for the EQ Music Tour is Pensacola, FL at the Emerald City Night Club tomorrow and Adam will then be headed down south at Jungle Night Club in Atlanta.

One of the most surprising pop albums this year for me is without question “Shattered Ice” by Adam Tyler.  I’ve always been a fan of the infectious pop that Adam Tyler has produced over the last few years ever since his massively underrated debut single “Friction” burst onto the web.  When taster single “I Won’t Let You Go” made it’s debut a few months ago, I knew right then and there that Adam Tyler is a pop force that is determined to be noticed, despite the many negative pitfalls that exist in the current pop climate for “male” pop artists.

When I received “Shattered Ice” for review, I knew I was in for something no less than a treat.  Upon first listen, the first three tracks alone prove that Adam Tyler has what it takes to ignite hits in the mainstream commercial pop environment.  “Like A Drug” is a saucy, sexual stomper with provocative lyricism that you can’t help but notice.  “Like the air I breathe, I need you up inside of me – up inside of me”.  The middle eight alone sounds like it was a page torn right out of Madonna’s infamous “Sex” book.  “Pull The Trigger” is an addictive dance-floor filler with head-bopping rolling synths that are slightly naughty and massively explosive upon first listen.  “Music Freak” is a slice of supersonic pop heaven where Adam’s self-confessed “pop geekdom” gets it’s own theme song.  For any of you music freaks who live for electronic beats as a life-sustaining force, “Music Freak” will be an all-too-familiar story for you when you hear it.

The album’s centerpiece “I Won’t Let You Go” still remains one of the finest pieces of pop artistry to be released this year and the fact that it’s not an American top ten single still boogle’s me, but I haven’t given up hope just yet.  Title song “Shattered Ice” is an amazing groover but the album’s highlight for me has to be the incredibly funky “Forgive Me” where Adam confesses to his bad habits as a lover and a friend.  I love this song so much because sonically, the song’s construction and sound is quite different for Adam and proves his versatility as an emerging pop artist. 

One of Adam’s favorite songs on the album (and for good reason) is the elegant and touching mid-tempo number “Taking Back My Love” which I quite like too – it’s flourishing chorus and uplifting harmony instantly resonate.  For all you dubstep fiends, you will love “Emergency”.  It’s a masterclass on how to combine dance pop with dubstep in a way that doesn’t overshoot the mark – Britney Spears would be proud and might even tip her hat to Adam if she heard the song.

And for all you critics out there that need to have proof that pop stars actually have vocal talent, the final three tracks are re-invented album tracks which put a new spin on the original proving that Adam Tyler can actually sing.  “Forgive Me” and “I Won’t Let You Go” get an acoustic makeover while “Emergency” gets a haunting orchestral facelift giving the song a whole new dimension.

All-in-all, “Shattered Ice” by Adam Tyler is an independent pop triumph.  In a day and age where the only pop music that gets noticed are songs that are over-hyped and over-produced by over-paid producers, it’s nice to know that the spirit of independant pop is still alive and well in albums like “Shattered Ice”.  For this reason alone is precisely why we are supporting Adam Tyler as the first choice for our inagural EQ Music Tour which kicks off across America beginning August 23rd.  If you are a music freak like most of us that read this blog, then make sure you download “Shattered Ice” when it’s available for download on Tuesday. 

As Adam Tyler professes, once you take his hand and hold – he won’t let you go, nor let you down as a pop artist that delivers and entices you into his world of musical wonders.
