In this day and age, social media has evolved from being something that we could use to keep in touch with our friends and family into a tool that various corporations and organizations use to spread the word about their products and services. The EDM industry has not been immune to the calls of social media either, as one of the hottest names in the industry to date has taken to social media and entertainment sites to get in touch with their fans and reach out to more people.

Social media and social gaming are among the strongest forces in today’s society. Gaming Realms, owners and operators of Free Bingo Hunter, have recognized that investing in social gaming is essential to “creating a fully integrated and richer gaming experience for customers”, and they have since launched efforts to make their games more social with in-game notifications and a collection bonus mechanism. All of their brands also have a complete roster of social media accounts.

But some acts use social media to their advantage better than others, such as famed EDM DJ Bingo Players. Bingo Players, which is now the stage name of Maarten Hoogstraten, has been on social media since it was formed. In the past, it had been a duo, including Paul Baumer, who passed away in December of 2013 after battling cancer. All announcements about the group’s status had been made on their Facebook page, and more recently, Maarten Hoogstraten took to Reddit to answer some questions his fans might have.

In a Reddit AMA, Maarten discussed what it was like to continue on with Bingo Players even after the passing of his partner, and what he felt was in the future for EDM. When asked how he thought the EDM scene would be in 10 years, he said, “I don’t know where the music and parties will be in 10 years from now. Things evolve so fast in this scene, which is awesome, but it’s hard to predict which direction it will go. One thing is for sure, it WILL be around for another 10 years.”

He also offered some advice to those who wanted to try and make it in the EDM scene as well: “The best way to recognition is to make something unique! We get some many demo’s that sound like Tsunami copy no. 2189763. Don’t get me wrong, i love Tsunami. But one Tsunami is enough. So, take a risk and fool around with new sounds and ideas. Once that song gets played by many people, you’ll stand out from the rest!”

Bingo Players is just one of the many acts that have started using pop culture and social media to get their messages across to wider audiences. Thanks to the internet and the proliferation of social media, it’s now much easier to increase their fan bases, and help fans understand why they do what they do.

Our (or at least the one and only in my case) favorite country girl Taylor Swift is almost back with the new material she has been cultivating since the store-blower master piece Speak Now (2010) – It's called: RED. My tears of joy can tell you how excited I am.

The 16 tracks record (and possible bonus material) is expected to be released this October 22nd featuring the singles that have been floating around the web, such as: We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, Red and Begin Again. and this is what I think by far:

Starting with the cheessy mess that We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together is, we could tell that Taylor is not being the little crying girl we have all know (by previous albums). SHE IS NEVER EVER EVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER WITH HIM, Y'ALL. Finally. The single is *that* song you are waiting for to be played on the radio while your are in the car with your girlfriends and… ¡BAM! There it is and you scream, and can't deal with the situation, and you pee. In other words: I love the song.

… And when you though that its going to get better, it really does. I dare you to try to get Red out of your head. Impossible. Going back to in time, Red is about telling the boy of your dreams how much you love him; how hard, impossible and stupid is the idea to forget him; how emotional and peaceful is to remember him. Red is that song you want to sing to the one that is everything you ever wished for.

Finally, Beging Again is probably about Taylor being insecure in love again? The line "I've been spending the last 8 months thinking all love ever does is break and burn.." might be the answer. Or Taylor being insecure wearing heels and her boy not liking it. Begin Again can be the song you want to listen to at night when you feel all you wanna do is think about *him*.

STOP IT. YES, STOP. ok, Continue – The 21 years old New Yorker has brought a pussy-pop worthy mix tape 'Fantasea'. This RAP-ist has litterally done my ears. And for good. Is not just because it's aggressive rap as I like it, but because it has that hard bass, pop dipped (the most important part), club worthy and pole dancing material. Yes, That kinky.

The mixtape has a good, fierce start with 'Out of Space' – Strong Miss Bank$'s verses make it one of the best songs in it, unlike Neptune, making it a weak point on the album. You can even somehow think of Nicki Minaj when you listen to it. It is bad. I'm sorry.

I'm dancing my ass off to "Esta Noche" as I type this, my favourite track by far. You just have to listen to it to fall in love and feel all sleazy. Fantasea, Aquababe and Ima read leave you with a feeling that there should be more of them, and you just wait for it to continue and nothing happens. TEASE.

IN SUMMARY: Azealia Banks has brought something different, something you can listen to and not feel ashamed to share it. 'Fantasea' is a 8/10 mixtape and you can download it for free here and listen to 'Esta Noche' perfection below.

I know this is so last week but TO ME is so THIS WEEK because I just watched it so you will deal with it. *flips hair*

What I was going to talk about? YES, you are right – Rihanna's Where Have you Been is the 3rd single (As i predicted) for Talk That Talk and I can't be any happier since it's one of my favorites off the album.

The video is all what you can ask for: fun choreography, hot shirtless men, Rihanna slaying the damn video with her beauty,and the bonus: they are GYPSIES. I really liked the Gypsies thing since it matches perfect with Rihanna (Don't ask me why..) and the choreography when the sick beats drops? oh gurls, you just can't handle it (or at least I can't.)

Where Have You Been should do something for this era since You Da Flop couldn't. We just have to wait, Navy. You know what else is this era needs? it needs some CAKE to blow every club in the face of earth.

All I can ask for with this single is some promo, so please Rihanna stop Instagram-ing, partying and tipping streepers at clubs and get yo pretty butt back to work.

OKAY. As we all know, Lana Del Rey premiered her video for “Carmen” – Which to be honest, is one of my favorites off of her album.  But is the video a favorite?  Let’s discuss.

“Carmen” is chock full of photoshoot footage and old videos that Lana liked and found on YouTube (a woman trying to jump into a pool in fugly undies. REALLY THO) Lana, you’re beautiful, most likely a star, you have the money and the big machine backing but…this video is nothing but recycled odd footage you wrapped together and called it a music video to “Carmen“.

I really like Lana being all vintage styled – all 70s and 80s but Carmen is TOO much – is like if she’s trying too hard to keep that vintage image of hers which isn’t really hitting the mark with contempoaray music lovers.

As a Lana fan, the video really insulted me in every single way.  Let’s just hope “Summertime Sadness” which is going to premiere next month, changes everything.  Watch Carmen video below.

SO finally, The rap goddess Nicki Minaj has brought back "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded".  Since the catchy disaster "Stupid Hoe" made me pop my pussy for more than a month, I obviously couldn't handle myself and had to give the new album a listen.  "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" is actually a very very good and solid album.

Loaded with breathtakingly poppin beats, hard Nicki hip-hop verses PF:RR is one of Nicki's best jobs.  "Pound The Alarm",  "Whip It", "HOV Lane", "Automatic & Beautiful Sinner" shows us a different Nicki Minaj side, a very hip-pop new angle on her music one WHICH I AM LOVING.  In other notes: If you ask me, "Starships" is overated.  Instead, listen to "Pound The Alarm" and obsess over it. You're welcome.

"Roman Holiday", "Come On A Cone", "Stupid Hoe", "Young Forever" and "Beez In A Trap" would be part of the Nicki that we know and love already. We get to notice the "new" role that Nicki is trying to fit into.  In my opinion, Nicki should keep on doing what's she's doing right now.  Really good hip-pop. 

"Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" has a lot of material you can obsess with, it's catchy as hell.  Give it a shot EQs. 8/10

Warning: “The Hunger Games” spoilers below.

Beautiful, simple and sentimental are the only things that come to mind when I saw Taylor Swift’s new video for “Safe & Sound”. The way Taylor vocals effortlessly mix with The Civil Wars guitars is just pure beauty.  “Safe & Sound” as a song is in a word – perfect.

If you have read “The Hunger Games” books as I have, the only thing that comes to mind when Katniss is late to save Rue was this song – “Safe & Sound”.  I cried so much when I first heard this song as it takes me away from home and puts me in Katniss’s shoes and all that happened to her while in the games.

I really expected actual scenes from the movie though – that is the only bad point of the music video, in my opinion.  Neverthelesss, it gave me goosebumps and is making me more anxious for the movie to come out – I’m expecting it to be LIFE CHANGING.

“The Hunger Games” is coming to cinemas March 23rd and we are DYING to see it.  If you are of the Kindle kind, read the books, they are HIGHLY recommended. The world will be watching.

As we all know – The pink diva is coming back better than ever along with "The Virginity EP".  We all expected it to premiere on February 14th but due to perfection and diva issues, fans will have to wait a little longer for the upcoming pop/dance disaster. 

The first single off "Virginity" is called "PROM NIGHT" in which the the video is being filmed already and it will drop in the next couple of weeks. You can listen to the "Prom Night" demo here.

MEANWHILE – Since the release date for  "Virginity" has to be pushed back – Jeffree released a mixtape full of demos that didn't make it to EP and you can download it here. It's called "Shit You Weren't Supposed To Hear".

"Oh My God", "If It Kills Me", "Freakshow" (Feat. Drummerboy) and "Virginity" are songs that didn't make it, but to be honest –  THEY ARE SO HOT.  The sexual references on this mixtape are beyond hotness.  I've have had it on repeat since Jeffree released it and I'm not mad at all that he pushed the date a little back.  We just have to wait.  Perfection takes time.

My insatiable thirst for pop culture made me start looking around the web for some *good* new music, and in my adventures, I read some post from people refeering to "sucking Skrillex's balls" – so I decided to give Skrillex a try – and holly Scheisse.  My mind has been blown away.

Sonny Moore aka Skrillex has been slaying slaying lives since his debut EP "My name is Skrillex" (2010) came out and can I just stay -  it's pure dustep perfection, you can get it for FREE – here.  Skillrex is the ex-member of the emo american band "From First To Last" (which I used to love back in 2007, by the way).  His 4th EP called "Bangarang" is another slice of perfection if you are asking me.

To me, it's always dificult to find a good dubstep album, it's the same thing all over the EP and most of them are generic and basic. Skrillex broke that line and expectations and has slayed my entire day with "Bangarang" aggresive beats and sounds.
