I’ve been overwhelmed by the fantastic new album releases lately. And with the bank holiday weekend here, it’s the perfect opportunity to share an exciting album review. Whether you’re gearing up for a lively BBQ, hitting the road for an adventure, or just lounging at home with some snacks and a flavoursome beverage. You’ll doubtless want to discover fresh music to elevate your experience. With this in mind, not long ago, I teased that pop sensation Tom Aspaul was getting ready to unveil his third album. Well, the moment has finally arrived. Tom’s highly anticipated album “Cabin Fever” is out now, and it’s a must-listen!

Sharing some thoughts in December 2024 on the first single release “Sauna/Cabin,” I noted… “With an undeniable spark ignited, Tom vividly relives the adventures of his mind-altering Swedish encounter, captivating listeners and leaving them wanting more“.

Continuing on, Tom elaborates…

“I went to Sweden to relax post-tour and ended up staying awake for two days almost losing my mind. It was not conducive to relaxation at all. I would like to go on record saying I would never recommend LSD or any type of drug, we were very stupid to think we had any sort of control. However, we got through it together and it spawned an album. Over the last 18 months, I’ve been reliving every second of it with Gil Lewis (producer/songwriter) and I’m so thrilled (and relieved) to share this crazy experience”.

When listening to “Cabin Fever” for the first time, it’s impossible not to notice the dramatic shift in musical direction. Coupled with the meticulous refinement of pop stylings throughout the album. Producer Gil Lewis employs an impressive array of production techniques. Thus creating innovative soundscapes that merge seamlessly with Tom’s lush, pop-rich vocals. This blend not only elevates the overall audio experience but also highlights Tom’s profound lyrical artistry with striking authenticity and emotional depth. In comparison to the vibrant disco and dance-pop aesthetics of his earlier albums, “Black Country Disco” and “Life In Plastic“. “Cabin Fever” offers a more introspective and mature perspective. Above all inviting listeners to engage with the themes of personal growth and transformation embedded in each track.

The album’s focus singles, “Drama” and “That Girl,” powerfully embody a mature musical and deeply confessional lyrical perspective. “Drama,” for example, delves into introspection and profound soul-searching. Yet Tom skillfully juxtaposes this heavy emotional weight with a self-directed music video featuring an outfit evocative of a Shakespearean bard. “The drama has defined me, who am I reminded of?” he sings, inviting us to ponder on this thought-provoking dialogue.

Another standout moment of musical diversity arises in “That Girl,” a collaboration with Gil Lewis and Stefan Storm of The Sound of Arrows. This track poignantly captures the longing for a carefree existence, as Tom reflects on the longing and isolation experienced as a gay man. He laments, “I never ever got affection from the guys, no attention from anyone, ooh I didn’t have a chance, just a fear of love and rejection. Another lonely young queer in a small town looking for a change to come (But it never did).” The accompanying visualizer is a breathtaking display of animated psychedelia. The clip is crafted by Jill Chrisp of Studio Shuggi, enhancing the song’s emotional impact and allure. But let me tell you, a display of phenomenal artistry carries all the way through this project.

Personal and intense at times. Ultimately, thought-provoking and revealing, “Cabin Fever” is stellar work. Essential listening.

ALBUM REVIEW: “Enjoy Youth” by Bright Light Bright Light https://eqmusicblog.com/album-review-enjoy-youth-by-bright-light-bright-light/ Fri, 17 May 2024 09:35:24 +0000 https://eqmusicblog.com/?p=36938 What an album! "Enjoy Youth" by Bright Light Bright Light, lives up to its name: the uplifting, vibrant music brings joy & positivity to a weary world

The post ALBUM REVIEW: “Enjoy Youth” by Bright Light Bright Light appeared first on EQ Music Blog.

]]>

Bright Light Bright Light’s fifth album, “Enjoy Youth,” has been released at a particularly opportune moment. This week has presented a myriad of challenges on various fronts, and the arrival of Rod Thomas’ new album couldn’t be more timely. With its infectious dance beats and relatable narratives, the album serves as a welcomed escape from the current array of struggles and issues that are affecting the world.

As I’ve eagerly counted down to the album release on the blog, I’ve been sharing articles about the lead-in singles. From the very beginning, it was clear that BLBL was creating something extraordinary for fans of synth-pop. Even before I knew about the album’s title or theme, I could feel the infectious, feel-good vibes from the songs. As the single-release campaign continued, tracks like “You Want My” and, more recently, “Heartslap” featuring Mykal Kilgore, have truly brought this joyfulness to life.

The album “Enjoy Youth” boasts exciting collaborations with GRAMMY-nominated Mykal Kilgore, dance music icon Ultra Naté, Sam Harper (voice of Riton “Friday Night“), Berri (known for her massive 90s hit “Sunshine After The Rain“), and Beth Hirsch (featured on Air’s classic album “Moon Safari“). If you’re already a Bright Light Bright Light fan, you’ve likely enjoyed the danceable treats Rod has already released. Such as “Sweet Release,” “Boys Etc.,” “Down to One,” “Every Emotion,” and “Heartslap.” But let me tell you, “Enjoy Youth” offers even more, with its captivating mix of glittering electro-pop, 90s house, bursts of HiNRG synth-pop and phenomenal artistry.

I truly believe that “Enjoy Youth” is Rod’s finest album yet. The track “Snap!” featuring Berri is an absolute standout, exuding strong A-ha vibes, and it has become my personal favourite on the album. The dance-pop elements in this song transport me to a state of pure bliss, and I had a strong inkling that it would turn out to be an Ian Masterson-produced track.

Thank you so much, Rod, for creating “Enjoy Youth.” Your album has brought a much-needed sense of joy and positivity to this weary world. The uplifting and vibrant music is a breath of fresh air, and it’s an album truly living up to its name.

Kylie Minogue releases album “Tension” https://eqmusicblog.com/kylie-minogue-releases-album-tension/ Mon, 25 Sep 2023 10:53:10 +0000 https://eqmusicblog.com/?p=35157 Kylie Minogue releases album "Tension" - an appreciation post. Let's take a moment to think about the possible upcoming singles...

The post Kylie Minogue releases album “Tension” appeared first on EQ Music Blog.

I have to admit, I’m not usually one to gush over mega pop stars, but Kylie Minogue has really outdone herself with her latest album “Tension.” It’s not that her previous work wasn’t great, but this album is truly unskippable and a joy to listen to. And let’s not forget about Saturday evening’s TV coverage (UK) dedicated to her – it’s clear that she’s still loved by many fans around the world. Kylie truly is a queen of the pop realm.

Hot on the heels of her headline performance at Radio 2 In the Park, in Leeds where she performed the tracks “Padam Padam” and “Tension” from the album, another new song “Hold On To Now” was premiered globally. In fact, I may be jumping the gun a little in my assumptions, but I think this track has a good chance of becoming the next official single. The only potential issue could be that it’s a bit longer than typical radio play length, which might not be ideal. But overall, it seems like a promising decision.

Listen on Apple Music

Wow, “Hold On To Now” is such a beautiful and shimmering song! The synths in it remind me so much of The Sound of Arrows, which is just amazing. My first listen to this track absolutely blew me away, and I couldn’t wait to feature it on the blog. The entire “Tension” album is fantastic, and it’s hard for me to choose favourites. Since, overall, the album is 45 minutes of pure joy and uplifting energy.

I was thinking that “Story” would make a great single to release next or “Vegas High” for that matter. Equally, they’ve got really cool synth-pop vibes that I think would really resonate with listeners. I’ve only listened to “Tension” a few times, but I think these could be great follow-up choices. This album is so good that the possibilities are endless, really. And much like every other pop fan, I am excited to see where this goes next!

Listen to “In Bad Company” EP by Bobi Andonov https://eqmusicblog.com/listen-to-in-bad-company-ep-by-bobi-andonov/ Fri, 11 Aug 2023 08:27:40 +0000 https://eqmusicblog.com/?p=34851 The debut EP by alt-pop artist Bobi Andonov, "In Bad Company," is masterful and introspective that may inspire soul-searching of your own

As I was carrying out my usual rounds of checking other music sites I stumbled upon an article from Aussievision concerning the former Junior Eurovision star Bobi Andonov. Therefore, I would first ask if you will cast your mind back to 2018. The blogosphere was singing the praises of the up-and-coming Australian alt-pop artist Bobi Andonov. Despite the initial buzz, the hype around Bobi seemed to have died down somewhat quickly. However, I recently discovered that he’s been gaining some serious momentum this year, culminating in the release of his debut EP “In Bad Company” last week. It’s crazy to think I was oblivious to his journey all this time. Nonetheless, I am immediately excited upon listening to the music.

Therefore, having spent some time this week with “In Bad Company.” I noted it’s somewhat a concept EP that delves into the complexities of desire and the consequences arising from the choices we make. For this reason, the music is appropriately dark and alluring, and Bobi’s vocals are nothing short of soul-stirring and powerful. It’s an introspective journey that sheds light on the inner conflicts everyone faces from time to time.

Listen on Apple Music

It’s quite a challenge to pick just one standout track from Bobi’s collection of six songs. Since each song has its own unique charm and appeal. However, what really ties them all together is Bobi’s incredible vocal talent and masterful unique voice. His brand of intelligent pop is truly something special. Brimming with clever arrangements and lyrics that are both thought-provoking and honest. Not least, I’m blown away by his powerful voice.

Although obviously, it would be remiss of me not to single out “Guilty,” the latest emotively charged focus track. Every note and word seems to be infused with Bobi’s heart and soul. Thus listening to his soaring pop vocals might inspire you do some introspection of your own. Those looking for more of an electro-pop vibe. In this instance, “Pretty Pills” is my go-to recommendation.

Although I have no official news, my instincts say some press person should probably be pushing Bobi Andonov’s album to the UK market. “In Bad Company” is the brand of deliciously dark pop we eat up, over here.

Album Review: “Whatever Happened Next” by Billy Cullum https://eqmusicblog.com/album-review-whatever-happened-next-by-billy-cullum/ Mon, 10 Jul 2023 14:49:45 +0000 https://eqmusicblog.com/?p=34705 REVIEW: An extraordinary album by Billy Cullum, "Whatever Happened Next", is personal and intense, yet it is still universally relatable.

The post Album Review: “Whatever Happened Next” by Billy Cullum appeared first on EQ Music Blog.

]]>

During the summer months, it seems most new album releases have a tendency to focus on upbeat and danceable tunes. While these offerings are certainly a welcome addition to the music calendar. Recently, something else caught my attention. I’ve been particularly drawn to the singer-songwriter Billy Cullum lately and his latest album, “Whatever Happened Next.” Particuarly so because of finding the lead-in focus tracks “Twisted” and “Gold” perfectly showcase his genuine and thoughtful narratives. I instantly became hooked on Billy’s courageous expressions as he dives into profound topics, such as relationships, sexuality, mental health and identity as an openly queer artist.

The songs in his sophomore collection are genuinely impressive. They capture the essence of growing up and seamlessly explore one’s identity. The vocals are raw and emotional, conveying the complex feelings around relationships and embracing queerness. Furthermore, each song tells a unique story contributing to the album’s powerful and cohesive account of Billy’s experiences. This album is a rare gem that is both intense and personal and yet, universally relatable to anyone who listens to it.

Listen on Apple Music

It opens with the beautiful folk-pop song “Gold,” which has a poignant and inspiring message. The rest of the album features a somewhat diverse selection of alternative tracks, that one by one push the boundaries of folk-pop in some really interesting ways. What I love most about it though, is Billy’s incredible emotive voice. He manages to keep such a tight grasp on an introspective, vocal-lead style of alt-pop that is all his own and really sets this album apart.

I have to admit. I fell under the “Whatever Happened Next” spell the moment I began listening through it. Since it’s pretty much impossible to get these songs out of your head once they’ve made their way in. There’s just something about the soft and tender production, coupled with the heartfelt feelings these songs exude, that makes them so captivating. After years of holding back, Billy Cullum has undoubtedly found his place in pop.

ALBUM REVIEW: “Jesus At The Gay Bar” by Cub Sport https://eqmusicblog.com/album-review-jesus-at-the-gay-bar-by-cub-sport/ Mon, 10 Apr 2023 10:29:14 +0000 https://eqmusicblog.com/?p=33895 ALBUM REVIEW: "Jesus At The Gay Bar" by Cub Sport - A dance floor classic rooted in open-hearted lyricism celebrating the power of pure joy

The post ALBUM REVIEW: “Jesus At The Gay Bar” by Cub Sport appeared first on EQ Music Blog.

]]>

Considering that Cub Sport, one of Australia’s most successful exports, released their debut album, “This Is Our Vice,” in 2016k, the band has worked constantly and with very few breaks to achieve their incredible five albums to date. As of April 7th 2023, Cub Sport’s latest work “Jesus At The Gay Bar,”(incidentally their most joyous collection to date) was released into the world.

With any artistic project that has achieved longevity, I expect to see a notable evolution throughout their discography. With this in mind, as a band with five albums to their credit, Cub Sport remains an outstanding example of how to thrive within modern music climates. Since starting out, frontman and songwriter Tim Nelson has most notably and courageously worn his heart on his sleeve. Particularly so when translating his thoughts into lyrical narratives and continually documenting a journey of self-acceptance and healing. In his songwriting, whenever he revisits a theme or situation, he dares to be even more open-hearted about his relationship with his husband, Sam Netterfield each and every time.

Above all, where “Jesus At The Gay Bar” (the title inspired by writer Jay Hulme‘s poem of the same name) differs significantly from other Cub Sport offerings, is the musical direction. Notably, the band’s original alternative-pop styling has gradually evolved to include nods to house, 2-step, and UK garage on their fifth studio album.

The first indication of the band’s crossover into dance-pop appeared in the 2022 single “Always Got the Love“. With this bona fide hit with fans, Cub Sport ushered in a new era which exemplifies the power of pure joy. Similarly, the follow-up focus singles “Replay,” Keep Me Safe,” and “Songs About It” display open-hearted lyricism with a powerful sentiment that’s universally felt but is not always expressed easily.

Listen on Apple Music

Listening to “Jesus At The Gay Bar” as a complete body of work, the cubbies create their greatest impact yet. Most importantly, the sense of euphoria is noticeably palpable throughout. The Mallrat collaboration “Yaya,” is a stand-out track with us. The lyrically direct penmanship on this album derived from real-life experiences/feelings about love, poignancy, and everything in between represents the very best of Tim Nelson’s songwriting.

Ultimately brimming with hypnotic rhythms, spellbinding dreamlike textures, and unabashedly intimate narratives celebrating queer love, “Jesus At The Gay Bar” is a classic in waiting, worthy of dance-floors across the globe.

In addition, the band kick off their new UK tour in Glasgow on 29th April, before heading to Manchester, Bristol and finishing at London’s Lafayette. Ticket information HERE

Album Review “Ahh” + Listen to “All Gays Go to Heaven” by Myylo https://eqmusicblog.com/album-review-ahh-listen-to-all-gays-go-to-heaven-by-myylo/ Thu, 22 Dec 2022 11:45:40 +0000 https://eqmusicblog.com/?p=33093 "Ahh" the debut album of Myylo is OUT. We recommend not missing the track "All Gays Go to Heaven". A heartfelt ode to humanity.

The post Album Review “Ahh” + Listen to “All Gays Go to Heaven” by Myylo appeared first on EQ Music Blog.

]]>

How awesome! At last and above all “Ahh“, by Myylo. The debut album we have been tracking through out 2022, is finally out! This is a release I have anticipated on the blog since Myylo first showed up with the power-pop anthem “Being Born Kinda Sucks“, in February. It has been quite a year for the singer-songwriter. One where each passing month, more lyrically captivating teaser tracks appeared. “Abercrombie and Fitch Boy“, “Tally Ho“, “Cling On“, “Pink Boy Heart“, and “Haircut“. Accordingly. And also, to complement these releases were his unique and endearing style of DIY music videos. Where in these, Myylo was more often seen goofing around in them. Acting up charmingly and adorably.

As the countdown to the album release continued. We learned along the way that the body of work was not entirely a concept piece. But rather. It is a project consisting of snapshots that is written about same-sex relationships and dating.

In the album “Ahh“, he ruminates on an existential crisis, “Being Born Kinda Sucks,” and dreamily crushes on “Abercrombie & Fitch Boy“. Waxes lyrical about hooking up “Tally Ho” and kissing hot boys, “Cling On“. In the track “Pink Boy Heart,” he revealed his softer side. Here he expresses his desire for warmth, tenderness, and intimacy with another man. On “Haircut,” he imparts a brilliant mix of whimsical repartee and melancholy feelings in equal measure. Tracks “Reservation” “Dogs Shouldn’t Die,” and “All Gays Go To Heaven” complete the line up. When all of the above is combined. “Ahh” shapes up as undeniably brilliant. An unskippable record. That reminds us of the importance of being our unapologetic selves.

Listen on Apple Music

Lastly, in particular I wanted to take a deeper look at the album’s most recent focus track, “All Gays Go To Heaven“. Since here is where he openly converses on the topics of equality and religion in equal measure.

“God is sitting on her throne. Welcoming the wayward home. Ones they sent to therapists. Ones who carried lisps and limp wrists. So I don’t know why people say. That I’m not going there someday. When you lay me in my grave. I’ll be coming home”.

While not being a banner-carrying anthem. Instead, he stays within his lane of intimate style of storytelling. Navigating LGBTQ+ identities and religion. Myylo went there. His skillful songwriting. A further reminder. Of the plaintive honesty of the heartfelt ode, emphasizing the virtue of humanity.

The excellent debut album “Ahh” is out now. Wrap your ears around it – HERE

Album Review: “0524” by MCEWEN https://eqmusicblog.com/album-review-0524-by-mcewen/ Fri, 27 May 2022 09:29:00 +0000 https://eqmusicblog.com/?p=32178 Without a doubt "0524" by MCEWEN is a synthy, electro-pop album so good that it sets the bar high for other similar artists to follow.

The post Album Review: “0524” by MCEWEN appeared first on EQ Music Blog.

]]>

The debut album from independent electro-pop recording artist MCEWEN is now out, and I couldn’t be more thrilled about it. On this blog site, you won’t find a ton of album reviews. So that I’m delving in and sharing my thoughts about “0524” by MCEWEN should immediately alert readers that I am heavily invested in this release. Every bit as engrossed as we were in writing about electronic-pop singer-songwriter Adam Tyler before he married and became MCEWEN.

Adam spends a lot of time vlogging about his family life with his Husband Erik and their twin daughters Addisen and Everest on his YouTube channel McHusbands. Despite raising two adorable daughters. He has also managed to release a few singles and two EPs while parenting the girls.

His first original release, “Neon,” (EQ review here), came in 2018 and features on “0524.” The track appears alongside MCEWEN’s previously released tracks “Love That I Found You,” (EQ review here), “SOS,” “A+E,” and “Destination Unknown.” An electrifying cover of “Don’t Turn Around” by Ace of Base (EQ review here), and Adam’s scintillating hot take on the track”Supernova Girl” by Kristian Rex.

I haven’t even covered half of the tracklist. Yet there are plenty more songs to explore.

It makes sense to pick out the two current spotlight tracks, “Words” and “Amazing,” since this is where the visual element kicks in.

Adam grew up in the 90s, and this is the music era he pays homage to in “Words“. Stylistically “Words” takes nods from Britney and the Backstreet Boys.

The track “Amazing” is one of my personal highlights from the album. That the music video came out this early in the promotion run, is fantastic. It is very different to anything Adam has put out before. He speaks instead of sings. I love the pure sass of the song. I shrieked out loud in delight when I played the video for the first time. The music video is easily his hottest ever. He went all-in on the sass but let’s not lose sight, “Amazing” is an empowerment song.

Another stand out from the album is “Playgirl.” Again this song is quite different to anything Adam has released previously. Definitely, he had the dancefloor in mind when writing the track. This is especially fitting because the idea for “Playgirl” came about from Adam’s nights out clubbing (when younger). It’s about batting off the attention from over-friendly girls. He’s saying I’m just not into you girls hitting on me.

If you’re wondering about the significance of “0524“… it is the date of Erik and Adam’s wedding anniversary. Seeing that much of the inspiration for the album stems from family life. There really could not be a more endearing choice of an album title.

Without a doubt, these new tracks document Adam’s growth as an artist. In doing so, he also gives us a good hit of retro vibes into the bargain.

0524” is a synthy, electro-pop album so good that it sets the bar high for other similar artists to follow. Should you fall out of love with electro-pop for a hot minute, the way back to becoming enamoured with it again lies with giving this debut album by MCEWEN numerous spins.

Watch “Living Underwater” by Mr Fogg https://eqmusicblog.com/watch-living-underwater-by-mr-fogg/ Wed, 23 Mar 2022 14:42:37 +0000 https://eqmusicblog.com/?p=31907 Take your time to soak up the utter beauty of "Living Underwater", then listen to the NEW Mr Fogg album "In Paradise" as soon as you can.

The post Watch “Living Underwater” by Mr Fogg appeared first on EQ Music Blog.

The brilliant electronica wizard Mr Fogg reached out to me recently over email. He gave me the heads up about the new album. “In Paradise” (his first for seven years, that is now out on all DSPs). I have long since admired Fogg’s innovative style of musicianship (see HERE). He is super talented in many strengths. Gorgeous lush electronic soundscapes are just one area where Fogg excels. In lieu of an album review. I will instead say, the arrival of “In Paradise” provides blissful ear-pleasing sonics and plenty of Fogg’s gorgeous soothing electronica.

Speaking about his return to making music, he says…

“For years I didn’t write or record a single musical idea. And I really didn’t know how I felt about the first three Mr Fogg albums.

But every now and then, somebody would message me to tell me they had been listening to my songs and tell me how much they enjoyed them. And eventually, I plucked up the courage to listen to the music and realised that some of it, was, actually, you know, pretty good.

So I started recording snippets of ideas on my phone, with the half-idea that I would get around to making something of them one day.”

Listen on Apple Music

We turn to music for a variety of reasons. For example, it is useful to help keep us feeling uplifted. Or where we turn when we are feeling vulnerable and need reassurance also. I strongly believe music is the therapy for the soul. By the same token, the beautiful music of Mr Fogg is the perfect choice for seeking solace in.

Coinciding with the album release, Fogg has also unleashed the track “Living Underwater” as a single. I would say the track has some definite minimalist Radiohead resemblance about it. There is no lasting doubt Fogg is using this music to change perceptions about what electronic music is. It can be bangs and crashes and very pop, but also striking, beautiful and graceful. Like what I found on the album “In Paradise” and the single “Living Underwater“.

The music isn’t the only part of the “In Paradise” project which is breathtakingly exquisite. The official music video directed by Harjinder Grewal for “Living Underwater.” A clip that features Spanish performance artist Paloma Hurtado. Is a similarly spellbinding watch.

Readers, I urge you to first, soak up the utter gorgeousness of the video. Then lose yourself in the magnificent soundscapes of the spectacular Mr Fogg album “In Paradise” as soon as you can.

Our verdict - flawless execution. Chef's kiss

The post Album Review “Carissimi” + Listen to single “Next” by Frankmusik appeared first on EQ Music Blog.

Since New Music Friday paused for the holidays, last week. You might have thought there would be little new music to talk about. Wrong! I do try to give my ears some rest during the holidays. Even so, I knew my downtime would be short-lived. This was because I have been excitedly awaiting the release of a new Frankmusik album since the beginning of last year. The plan for 2021 was to release one new track at the end of each month. Vincent kept to his promise. His new music releases have been regular, as clockwork over the past 12 months. The track “Alone” caught my attention back in March for two reasons. 1) The track is brilliant. 2) It allowed me to update you all with the news that a new album was coming.

True to his word, the album “Carissimi” and “Next” (the final track) arrived over the New Year. Thus, as you can probably imagine for the last 48 hours, my ears have well and truly been revelling in Frankmusik ecstasy. With this album, I got the overriding sense that Vince is purely making music for pleasure. For no other reason but to please himself. The fact that he does not hesitate to explore a wide range of music styles implies this. He covers, pop, “La Thing” (club) “Next“, dance-pop, and anthems “Alone”. The production (where he always excels) is, of course, chef’s kiss.

Although I have spent time with all of the Frankmusik albums, the bond with his firstborn “Complete Me” has been hard for me to shake off. Listening to “Carissimi” in its entirety has me feeling differently. My opinion is overturned. I am feeling it is because of the energy both releases have is somewhat similar. The difference between these recordings is 15 years of experience making music, and Vince has independently released “Carissimi“. Whereas “Complete Me” was put out via a label.

I Rate “Carissimi⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

I got you here under the pretence of sharing my thoughts about the latest single “Next“. It is only right, that my parting words go to the track. Specifically, it is Frankmusik’s most club-oriented offering because of the pulsing bassline this brings to mind. Also, there is something very right about this album concluding with a song about needing to be in close contact with the people we like to be around. i.e. closeness. A closing song about closeness. Only the work of a genius mind at work would do this.
